Blood sugar monitoring without finger pricks

Blood sugar

In the US regulators have approved the first continuous blood sugar monitor for diabetics that doesn’t need backup finger prick tests.

Currently users need to test a drop of blood twice daily to calibrate, or adjust, their monitor. This will soon be a thing of a past and huge relief for Diabetics.

The pain of finger sticks and the cost of testing supplies discourage many people from keeping close tabs on their blood sugar, which is needed to manage insulin use and adjust what they eat. In the future there will come devices which can continuously measure blood sugar and as mentioned no need for a finger prick.

Subscribe to my blog and I will keep you posted on a fabulous new device coming which will revolutionise monitoring of blood sugar for diabetics..
